When you are looking for a burger, are you looking for something delicious or a bang for a buck deal? I chose McDonald’s, a popular fast food restaurant, and Arthur’s, a local sit-down restaurant, and compared them in their burgers taste, price, and nutrition.
McDonald’s
The price of a quarter-pounder with cheese is $5.39 for a 4-ounce burger, which is very cost-effective. The quarter-pounder has 513 calories, which is a lot for a small burger, but not so many for a burger in general. The burger was very small with a tiny patty. The ingredients and the burger overall looked unappealing. The flavor of the burger was mediocre at best. The taste of the ingredients was very disappointing. Also, the patty was severely overcooked. In my opinion, the burger was very underwhelming and poorly made, but an alright meal for the price.
Arthur’s
A cheeseburger at Arthur’s costs $12 dollars for a 10-ounce burger. This is shocking because despite being a sit-down restaurant, Arthur’s burgers cost about the same price as Mcdonald’s burgers when considering the weight of the patty. The amount of calories of the burger is unknown, but people estimate that the burger is about 720 calories. The burger was huge and smelled amazing. The ingredients looked fresh and the meat looked delicious. When I took a bite of the burger my mouth experienced an explosion of flavor because of how the burger was prepared. The burger was delicious, the ingredients were super fresh, and the patty was cooked to perfection. Overall, the burger was amazing and great for the price.
In conclusion, McDonald’s was cheaper and probably less calories due to its smaller size, but Arthur’s burgers were bigger and tastier. If you’re going to get a burger, I would recommend getting a burger from Arthur’s.
