Tricky Riddles That Will Make You Think Twice

Level 1 (Easy):

  • You can see me in water but I never get wet, what am I?
  • Imagine you are in a dark room, how do you get out?
  • What is full of holes but can still hold a lot of water?
  • What occurs once in every minute, twice in every moment, yet never in a thousand years?
  • The more you have of it the less you see. What is it?
  • What is as big as you are but does not weigh a thing?
  • What can only go up and never come down?
  • What has to be broken before you can use it?
  • What can you break even if you never pick it up or touch it?
  • What can’t talk but will reply when spoken to?

 

Level 2 (Medium):

  • What is light as a feather, yet the stronger person in the world can’t hold it for more than a minute?
  • When you have me you feel like sharing me. But, if you share me you don’t have me. What am I?
  • How much dirt is there in a hole that is 3 ft. deep, 6 ft. long and 4 ft. wide?
  • Where does today come before yesterday?
  • It belongs to you but other people use it more than you do. What is it?
  • What has a head and a tail but no body?
  • What has 13 hearts but no other organs?
  • What begins with T, ends in T, and has T in it?
  • What has four fingers and a thumb but is not living?
  • What question can you never answer yes to?

 

Level 3 (hard):

  • If a red house is made of red bricks, and a yellow house is made of yellow bricks, what is a greenhouse made of?
  • It’s as round as an apple, deep like a cup, but all of the king’s horses can’t pull it up?
  • I have keys but no locks. I have space but no room. You can enter but can’t go inside. What am I?
  • Give me food and I will live, give me water and I will die. What am I?
  • You use a knife to behead me, yet you weep over my death. What am I?
  • When you do not know what I am then I am something. When you know what I am, I am nothing. What am I?
  • The day before two days after the day before tomorrow is saturday. What day is it?
  • What starts with E, ends in E but only has one letter in it?
  • A horse jumps over a castle without getting hurt. How is this possible? 
  • You’re stuck in an empty room with no windows. The only way to escape it through one of 3 doors. Behind door number one is a fire breathing dragon. Behind door number two is a room full of needles. And behind door number three is a lion that has not eaten in three years and is starving. How do you escape?
