What’s the best movie you’ve ever seen? Well, I have watched a lot of movies in my life, but I have to say that Jurassic Park is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Made in 1993, the original Jurassic Park movie was an instant hit, and even though it’s really old, it’s a classic, and I would definitely recommend it, although its age does make it a little cheesy.
Jurassic Park is about a group of people who bring dinosaurs back to life and introduce them to the world. The main characters, Allen Grant and Ellie Sattler, tour the island that is populated only by dinosaurs. They have a great time enjoying them…until the situation becomes highly chaotic. Allen and Ellie find themselves running for their lives from deadly prehistoric creatures.
Even though Jurassic Park was made in 1993, its special effects and CGI held up well and were surprisingly good for a movie that old. A lot of people loved the CGI, and they adored the special effects, which made the animatronics in some of the scenes look more real. Jurassic Park was the first movie to use CGI on a mass scale, so the expectations weren’t very high, but it was spectacular nevertheless. On a review website called The Guardian, it says, “When Jurassic Park’s CGI dinosaurs were first unveiled on screen in 1993 they really were staggering.” That was said in 2023, when CGI was pretty much at its finest and people were still in awe about the CGI used in Jurassic Park.
After coursing through tons of reviews, it’s clear that many people believe this was an outstanding movie. I agree. The average rating was around a 4 to 4.5, which is pretty good. A lot of the reviews, specifically ones on The Guardian, were saying that there was a decent amount of suspense and the actors were very dramatic. I think this is true, but I feel the movie could have been better if it was a bit shorter and had more suspense. Some parts dragged on a bit and slowed things down, but overall it was good and worth my time.
In conclusion, the original Jurassic Park movie was a really great and memorable film, and a lot of people all over the internet agreed with that. The movie had a lot of upsides and downsides, but overall it was good for a movie its age and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
