Spring break is coming up soon, and there are many good food places to visit, especially pizza places in the Morristown/Morris Plains area. But what are the top 3? These three places are good for lunch, brunch, dinner, and maybe even breakfast, if you’re feeling up to it. They have good service, clean environments, and quality food. You may not agree with where I rank these places, but you should still try them out.
#3: Enzo’s
Since 2023, Enzo’s is a cozy and delicious pizza place located at 5 Elms Street in Morristown, NJ. Enzo’s has a lot to offer food-wise, and has 22 topping choices on their pizzas. A large pizza at Enzo’s costs $17, and one plain slice costs $3.50, which is pretty cheap, considering cheese and bread ingredients are getting way more expensive due to inflation. Enzo’s is more of a restaurant than a pizza joint, but pizza is the main dish that is sold. From my experience, the best pizza is the meat lovers option, and if you don’t like that, I recommend the margherita option. The thing is, Enzo’s has their pizza menu split into 2 parts: regular and specialty pizza. The regular side is just a plain pizza with a very wide selection of toppings, but the specialty pizza has unique slices, like meat lovers, Hawaiian, vegetarian, Grandmother’s,and more. Specialty pizzas cost a lot more, but to me, it’s worth it.
#2: Coniglio’s
Originally located in the heart of Brooklyn, Coniglio’s came to Morristown in 2023 and was an instant hit. They feature classic, gourmet pizzas for lunch or dinner, and they have a breakfast menu without pizza on it. The highlight and focus of the menu is the Brooklynne Round, which is the top-rated dish on their menu. The reason that Coniglio’s is second on this list is because it used to be in New York, which is one of the best places to get pizza. Also, the dishes are not that expensive and the environment is great. Most pizza there has a thick crust, but some has thin crust. Overall the thick crust pizzas are rated better online. The only downside is that there isn’t much seating, so on a crowded day, you’ll probably have to get your pizza to go.
#1: The Godfather
The Godfather is a very prestigious and respected restaurant that serves some of the highest-quality pizza in the area. Located at 10 Lafayette Ave in Morristown, NJ, they are open from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM all week. The Godfather has catering, takeout, delivery, dine-in, reservations, outdoor seating, and vegetarian meal options. They are rated 4 stars with over 640 Google reviews. Even though some of the items on the menu are pretty expensive, they are definitely worth it and top most cheaper pizza places, because they use more gourmet ingredients. The large pizza pie there is delicious, with enough cheese and sauce to fill you up. They have a make-your-own-pizza option, which is ideal for a group of people who each have different opinions on their toppings. The Godfather also has gluten-free pies, which is convenient for someone who has this dietary need. For service, it’s usually decent and depends on the time of day, but the worst time is during lunch hour. The whole place smells like freshly baked pizza, which is great and sets the mood.
In conclusion, these are some of the best and most convenient places to go during Spring Break. They all have great food, great environments, and they’re all in Morristown or Morris Plains. Which one will you go to next week?
