Have you ever wondered what our principal, Mr. Marchese, is like? Well, you’re about to find out! Recently, there have been many changes here at FMS, including the new principals. Mr. Marchese is the new 6th Grade Academy principal. We interviewed Mr. Marchese and learned a lot. Here is the inside scoop!
Mr. Marchese loves being an educator. He was inspired to be a principal because his mom was a wonderful teacher. He was an ELA teacher himself, and was also a baseball coach. Mr. Marchese also loves interacting with staff and students, and enjoys the positive energy around our school. When he observes classes, he notices that every teacher is hardworking, talented, positive, and committed. In conclusion, Mr. Marchese is very passionate about his job.
Mr. Marchese takes his job very seriously here at FMS. Mr. Marchese says that he and the other administrators work very hard to try and “support sixth-graders academically, socially, and emotionally” as best they can. He wants to help us students any way is possible.
Did you know that a perfect day for Mr. Marchese would be in classes all day? When joining classrooms, Mr. Marchese looks for “energy between the teacher and students, a good level of thinking, and very strong engagement.” He looks for kids having fun during class while learning. Mr. Marchese enjoys being in classes throughout the day.
Mr. Marchese has many interests. Like many people, our very own sixth-grade principal loves the Harry Potter series and considers it his favorite! He also enjoys watching Star Wars. In his free time, Mr. Marchese likes spending time with his family, watching the Mets, and being with his two-year-old son and his four-month-old daughter. If you like Social Studies or Language Arts, then you and Mr. Marchese both have something in common. He doesn’t have a favorite song or type of music, but he enjoys listening to music on the radio.
Now you know more about our amazing sixth-grade principal, Mr. Marchese! He thinks everyone does such wonderful work, both staff and students alike. He wants to improve the middle-school experience for our sixth-graders. He also loves spending time with family and students all day long.
