We have classics like Star Wars, The Godfather, and ET. But what are some new ones coming out in 2024? Well, let’s find out.
Moana 2
A thrilling sequel to one of the most popular Disney movies out there! On November 27, 2024, the theaters will be packed with Moana fans and lovers of the original 2016 classic, eager to see the next one. The cast includes stars such as Dwayne Johnson, Alan Tudyk, Nicole Scherzinger, and Auli’i Cravalho. In addition to these beloved stars, many more are returning cast members who had a role in the first movie. But they are also accompanied by new voices such as Devin Fane, Rose Matafeo, and Hualalai Chung, who will be voicing some new characters in the movie. The plot of the story takes place on the island of Motunui where Moana’s new crew, including her old friend Maui, sail out to the deep seas of Oceania. They come across new and old friends and enemies along the journey. Alongside the actual movie, the trailer got 178 million views in just 24 hours, a new record. Let’s take off with Moana and Maui as they journey off into distant seas!
Wicked
A wonderful Broadway classic hitting the theaters November 22, 2024 is Wicked! The Broadway show has been well-running and very popular since 2003. It’s an exciting follow-up to the iconic movie, Wizard of Oz. Wicked will feature actresses such as Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba. The movie was announced in 2012, and 12 years later, the vision is complete. The movie is said to have two new songs added. If you haven’t seen the hit Broadway show, the movie will walk you through Glinda and Elphaba’s relationship with each other. Overall, it will be an action-filled and heart-touching movie.
Mufasa’s Lion King
The Lion King. A movie series so enjoyable, it broke several box-office records. Another one is coming out December 20th, 2024. Many characters play a role in this movie. One is Mufasa, the proud dad of Simba. In the new movie coming out, we will find out more about Mufasa’s childhood, his relationships, and the events that led him to be a leader. He meets new characters, embarks on new adventures, and leads us through his early life up to his ruling days.
