All over the world, people listen to music. There are so many different types of music genres. For example there is pop, rock, rap, country, hiphop, instrumental, jazz and blues. Some popular genres are pop and rap. These two genres have been popular for more than twenty years!
Rap Artists
Rap music is popular in middle schools all over the world. Some popular artists are Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Nicki Minaj, and Juice World. Rap became popular in 1979. The Sugar Hill Gang was the first popular rap group; their song “Rapper’s Delight” was the first rap song to be put on the radio. Some popular rap songs now are “The Real Slim Shady” by Eminem and “Lucid Dreams” by Juice World, who are both popular rap artists.
Country Artists
Country music is an amazing genre of music! It’s calming to me, which is why I love it. For example, I love how the way that the instruments are used to create music and how it’s not too loud. Country music became popular in the 1950’s and 1960’s. One of my favorite artists is Zack Ryan. Some popular songs by him are “Something in the Orange,” “Sun to Me,” and “Pink Skies.” My favorite song, thought, is “Something in the Orange.” Another popular country music artist is Taylor Swift. You may wonder why I put her name in the country music part. Well, when she first started putting out music, she wrote country! Her first album Taylor Swift was all country music. My favorite song from the album is “Teardrops on my Guitar.”
Overall, people all over the world listen to music and love different genres of music. If you need to calm down or focus, try listening to Taylor Swift’s first album or to any other country artist! Or if you want something totally different, try rap music. Remember, music comes from all over the world and if you ever need an escape, music is your way to go!
