Hello gamers! My name is Samuel and today I’m playing the classic video game Plants vs. Zombies. Plants vs Zombies was a game made by Pop Cap and was released for PC and IOS in 2009. It is considered one of the best games ever made and is rated a 10/10 on Steam, and a 7.9/10 on IMDB. But is it as good as critics say?
The plot of the game is very simple. The main character is the player, and is given plants by their weird neighbor Crazy Dave to fight off zombies. The story is very simple and straightforward which makes the game make sense.
The gameplay is also simple. You start the game by trying to collect sun (pretty much the currency required to spawn in plants) and fend off the few zombies that appear in the beginning. As the level progresses, you get more plants on the field and more zombies show up until you get to the wave. The wave is a horde of zombies that you have to fight off. There tends to be one or two waves a level. The gameplay loop is also simple. As you beat levels you get more plants and new zombies appear to give uses to those plants. Overall the gameplay in this game is very enjoyable and quite relaxing most of the time.
My overall review of this game is that yes, it is as good as critics say it is. I have played this game for a very long time and it always stays fun and enjoyable. There is a very large variety of things to do in the game, such as minigames and achievements that you will try to obtain. and ends up improving the experience by giving the game more of a lifespan so that you will stay playing the game. This is one of my favorite games ever made and is truly a work of art in the industry of video games. It has near infinite replayability and is always fun and relaxing to just play for a little while. And even when you have done everything in the game there is still more to it. A very great game and is pretty much perfect in every aspect. It’s an easy 10/10! Go pick up this game and try it one day.
