COVID-19 has really messed up our entire life schedule. Everyone is stuck at home quarantining themselves with very little to do. But while you’re in your house, it is important to stay healthy and fit. Think about it, this could be a way to work on your body more. So here are four of the best workouts that you could do at home with no equipment at all.

The first workout that is very useful are planks. Planks are quick and easy ways to exercise your muscles. They are very good for strengthening your core, reducing back pain, enhancing bone and joint health, and improves your overall balance on your body. The reason why planks are so good to do are because they are so simple. All you need is a little space on the floor and that’s it. If you have never done a plank, you should start with holding it for 15 seconds. As you get better, you increase the amount of time you hold the plank for. For example, you start from 15 seconds, then move on to 30 seconds, then 45 seconds, etc. If you do planks everyday, you’ll definitely see a difference in your body structure.

The second workout that is great for home is push-ups. Push ups are one of the fastest ways that you could build body strength without equipment, and they don’t require too much effort. They help improve all your upper body strength, so the biceps, triceps, shoulders and  pectoral muscles. Push ups are good because you could tell yourself that you want a certain amount of reps. a day and just do them whenever you have time. If your goal is to do 100 push ups by the end of the day, just do them at different times of the day. Waiting for the popcorn to finish popping, boom! Just drop down and do some push ups. Waiting for your brother to get out of the bathroom, again just do those push ups. Everytime you do a rep., your muscles strengthen, so do as many as you can.

The third workout that you could do at home are jumping jacks. Jumping jacks have a lot of cardiovascular benefits. It balances out your heart rate, it increases blood circulation efficiency through the body, controls blood pressure, and helps better your cholesterol levels. Plus, jumping jacks are really effective in burning calories. They are great ways to get your blood in your body pumping and active. Doing about 30 reps a day is a good way to start.

The fourth and final workout that you could do at home easily are lunges. Lunges are one of the best ways to exercise your lower body core. Lunges improve strength in your core, your butt, and leg muscles. Exercising these muscles helps with your posture, balance, and even back pain. If you are able to, walking lunges are even better as it gets you to move around as well. The best way to start is with 10 lunges for each leg and you could increase it however much you want after that.

Those are the four best ways to exercise your body at home without any equipment or little space. If you do all four of these exercises every day, you will feel yourself become more active and fit. After all, everyone has so much time since they are stuck at home, so why not do something good for your body?
