Throughout the history of Marvel, the fans have seen incredible products, from comics to movies that have been cherished over the years. The Marvel universe has evolved in so many ways since the first comic was produced. Since then the company has grown into bigger and better things than it had ever imagined. There are many events that have occured during Marvel’s history over the course of 80 years.

The History

Marvel started in New York City in 1939, but at the time it didn’t really have a name. Later in February 1961, the production of comics began, and now the brand is making billions of dollars on movies. Martin Goodman started the comics with Stan Lee, who made his first comic called the Fantastic Four. This became highly popular. Even though the characters from the comic are not popularly known, the movies made years later are really relevant with millions of millions of Marvel fans. Most of the old Marvel characters made a while ago, such as Wolverine, were recently remade. The movie Logan was a new movie, but it reflected off of the old Wolverine. Recently Marvel has made billions of dollars on their Marvel Cinematic Universes. Iron Man was the first movie, made in 2008. Avengers: Endgame was the most recent movie, and it came out just a few months ago in April 2019. Endgame itself raised 1.5 billion dollars in just three days!

What has happened

Now, in the past few years there have been many cool films that Marvel has produced. Avengers: Infinity War, Spiderman: Homecoming, and Endgame were the most popular Marvel movies in the past year. On top of their movies and comics, they have also teamed up with famous musicians and rappers such as Post Malone and Swae Lee. Their popular song Sunflower was included in their movie, Spiderman: Into The Spider-Verse and the music video has 546 million views on YouTube. It was a great marketing ploy from Marvel studios, and it popularized the movie. After Avengers Endgame, rumors have gone around that it was going to be the last Avengers movie. Although this might be true, because half of the heros died in Infinity War (but most came back in Endgame), there have been more movies presumed to be coming out in 2019 and 2020 such as Spiderman: Far From Home, Black Widow, and Black Panther 2.

Overall throughout these 80 amazing years, the cast and directors of the movies and the writers of the comics have been amazing providing fans and spectators something to watch. Although Endgame had many fans happy and sad about the deaths and people who return, we are sure that their will be many more amazing movies and breakthroughs that Marvel comes up with, because we all know that they don’t disappoint witheir movies. So, what do you think is next for Marvel?
